Simone Lee About Me

About me

I was born in the Netherlands and moved to the UK at the age of 19. My family is still there, and I feel fortunate to call both countries my home. I have always wanted to work with people, so it was no surprise that I ended up having a career in Human Resources.

I became a Funeral Celebrant late in life, which means that I have the life experience to deal with death and grief confidently and with compassion.

I have chosen to devote myself whole-heartedly to creating ceremonies only for funerals. I think it suits my personality very well. My friends describe me as calm, dedicated and patient.

Although I tend to take life a bit seriously, I always look for the joy in whatever life throws at me.

When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband. We love to get away from it all by soaking up the sun in far away places, such as Mexico, Kenya and Venezuela. When the world got smaller during the pandemic, I started to really appreciate having peaceful time at home and I have found a new love for my garden. I enjoy taking long walks and completing a good jigsaw on rainy days.
